Account book kept by John Quinby, shipbuilder and ship owner of Falmouth (later Portland), Maine. Entries are for carpentry, cutting shingles, day labor, hewing masts, lumber, surveying boards, tools, wood, and work aboard the Hiram (brig) and the Industry (ship). Also includes entries for alcoholic beverages, coal, cotton, fish, food, household goods, molasses, and silver buckles.
